DAKAR, Senegal, Dec. 2, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The Future Learning Institute (FLI) by Agilix, a global leader in AI-powered and mobile-first offline learning systems, will present its work in ethical AI and workforce-focused education transformation at the NEXTEN Summit in Dakar on December 3, 2025.

Dr. Mark Luetzelschwab, Director of International AI Programs at Agilix, will represent the Institute through a keynote address, expert panel appearance, and breakout session on AI’s role in education and national workforce development.

Future Learning Institute: Scaling Learning Where Connectivity Fails

FLI is powered by Agilix Labs, an edtech company with 24 years of experience delivering more than 50 million online course enrollments across 200+ countries. Agilix technology is designed for mobile-first, offline-capable, AI-enabled learning, enabling governments and institutions to reach learners in rural, underserved, and low-connectivity environments.

The Future Learning Institute extends this capability into national strategy—helping countries build hyper-local learning ecosystems, expand youth employment pathways, and implement ethical AI across schools, universities, and training centers.

The Keynote: AI Ethics for Real-World Education Systems

Dr. Luetzelschwab’s keynote, “AI Ethics in Education: The 3A Model,” introduces a practical framework used by ministries and institutions to evaluate AI systems through three dimensions:

    • Action — what the AI does and how it supports learning goals
    • Autonomy — the level of human oversight required
    • Accountability — whether the system performs reliably, fairly, and transparently

The framework helps countries adopt AI responsibly while strengthening trust and transparency needed for national-scale deployment.

“AI can expand access to quality learning for millions—but only when nations guide its use with trust, transparency, and local relevance,” said Luetzelschwab. “The Future Learning Institute exists to help countries build that foundation with approaches that work both online and offline.”

    Why Agilix Is in Dakar

FLI’s participation supports its mission to help nations bridge the gap between education and employment by:

    • Supporting ministry-level digital transformation initiatives
    • Expanding access to AI-enabled training that works online or offline
    • Developing local capacity for digital learning delivery
    • Partnering with governments, universities, and industry to train youth for emerging jobs

Agilix technology is active across West Africa, including work in Sierra Leone, where FLI is helping establish a national model for community-based, AI-enabled workforce training.

As of late April, Chad Reports 13 Deaths from Cholera Outbreak with Cases Surpassing 230

    August 8, 2026

Medical research staff analyze epidemiological surveillance data to track disease transmission. The epidemiological bulletin released from N’Djamena reveals that the infection remains largely concentrated within two main administrative regions. Public health records confirm that the majority of cases are located in the northern province of Hadjer Lamis and the capital region of N’Djamena. Data shows a significant increase in urban fatalities, with 11 of the 13 deaths occurring in the capital city during the first week of August alone. Although the government officially acknowledged the local epidemic on July 24, initial deaths related to the bacterial strain appeared as early as June 13. In response to the rapid spread in urban neighborhoods, emergency medical teams along with humanitarian partners have vaccinated approximately 50,800 residents in high-risk zones. Under the guidance of the World Health Organization, field teams are actively setting up specialized treatment centers to provide oral rehydration therapy and intravenous fluids to patients showing symptoms. Chad’s Cholera Crisis Results in 13 Deaths as Health Authorities Release Official Report Experts attribute the swift spread of Vibrio cholerae bacteria primarily to inadequate infrastructure, seasonal rainfall, and overcrowded living conditions. The infection, which causes severe diarrhea, transmits through contaminated food or water, leading to dehydration that can be fatal within hours if not treated. In N’Djamena and rural Hadjer Lamis, contaminated water sources are increasingly at risk of further pollution due to seasonal flooding that damages sanitation
