SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence nonstop services from Sharjah International Airport to Amman City Airport on November 15, 2026. The airline will operate this route four times each week. This addition creates another direct link connecting the United Arab Emirates with Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia already connects Sharjah with Queen Alia International Airport, providing travelers access to two airports in Amman. The new flights are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Flight G9 169 will leave Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrive in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return flight, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reaches Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Reservations are available via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agency network. The route was announced on October 8, more than a month before the first scheduled flight.
The introduction of flights from Sharjah enhances the existing network of Air Arabia Group in Jordan. The group already offers routes from Abu Dhabi and Alexandria to Amman. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi connects Zayed International Airport with both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Additionally, the airline operates direct flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The new Sharjah route provides travelers with another departure point for reaching Jordan’s capital city.
Another Amman airport joins Air Arabia’s Sharjah network
Adel Al Ali, Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia Group, stated that the new service offers travelers an alternative airport option in Amman. He highlighted that this new route will enhance convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between Jordan and the UAE. The airline will continue its existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport. As a result, Amman City Airport will become the second Jordanian gateway served by Air Arabia from Sharjah.
Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched flights to Amman City Airport, beginning on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. This operation already served Queen Alia International Airport before adding the second airport in Amman. When the new service started, Air Arabia reported that the Abu Dhabi network provided 10 weekly flights to Amman. The carrier’s model of serving two airports in the same city now extends to Sharjah.
Four weekly services strengthen UAE-Jordan air links
Throughout its published schedule, the new Sharjah flights will operate under the G9 169 and G9 170 service codes. Air Arabia’s fleet primarily consists of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The airline offers SkyTime onboard entertainment, SkyCafe meals, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Passengers can reserve seats on the new Amman City Airport route via the airline’s usual sales channels ahead of the scheduled November operations.
The launch in November broadens Air Arabia Group’s connectivity between the UAE and Jordan through several bases of operation. Sharjah passengers will now have direct access to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Passengers from Abu Dhabi already enjoy routes to both airports via Air Arabia Abu Dhabi. Alexandria also maintains a direct connection to Amman City Airport. The new route will add four weekly flights from Sharjah to the airline’s wider Jordan flight schedule.
