SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to launch direct flights between Sharjah and Gdansk beginning on Dec. 14, 2026, establishing a new route linking the UAE with northern Poland. The airline plans to operate five weekly flights between Sharjah International Airport and Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport. The flights will be scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This new connection will provide travelers from Poland’s Pomeranian region with a direct air link to Sharjah.

Flights on Mondays and Saturdays will see G9 0628 depart Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrive in Gdansk at 8 p.m., while G9 0629 will leave Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and land in Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following morning. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, departures from Sharjah will take off at 8:15 a.m., with return flights departing Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and arriving in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m.
Gdansk will become Air Arabia’s fourth destination in Poland from Sharjah, following the carrier’s December expansion plans. The airline already services Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport from its main UAE hub and will add flights to Katowice on Dec. 17, 2026, just three days after the Gdansk route begins. The Katowice service will operate four times weekly, further expanding the airline’s Polish route network.
Gdansk boosts direct connectivity with northern Poland
Adding Gdansk to its route portfolio, Air Arabia now offers a Baltic coast destination within its European network from Sharjah. The airline’s European network also includes major cities such as Athens, Vienna, Prague, Milan, Munich, Rome, and London Gatwick. Gdansk Airport, serving the broader Tri-City area of Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, as well as other parts of northern Poland, facilitates both domestic and international flights, catering to leisure and business travelers across the region.
Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali stated that the new Gdansk route would expand the airline’s presence within Poland. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, emphasized the direct link between the Pomeranian region and the UAE, highlighting the airport’s role as a transfer hub for onward flights to India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa via Sharjah. These new flights will connect Gdansk passengers to Air Arabia’s extensive network through its hub in Sharjah.
Five weekly flights planned for December deployment
Air Arabia operates Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its network and has opened bookings for the Gdansk route. The airline lists flight G9 0628 for departures from Sharjah on Mondays and Saturdays, with G9 0629 handling the return trips. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, flights will use G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. All scheduled times are local, and the route will be nonstop in both directions.
The service launch on Dec. 14 will expand Air Arabia’s direct Polish network shortly before the carrier begins flights to Katowice. With Krakow and Warsaw already in operation, the two additions in December will bring the total Polish destinations served from Sharjah to four. Gdansk will host five weekly flights, and Katowice will operate four weekly flights as per the announced schedules. The airline continues to confirm the Gdansk launch date and the five-flight weekly timetable for December 2026.
